Troubleshooting Database
Q: My “Audit” seems stuck or won’t start.
To prevent server overload, our system allows only one active job per store at a time. If you recently started a Bulk Fix or Audit, please wait for the “Active Job” indicator to clear before starting a new task.
Q: Why are some products being skipped?
Check your “Skip Archived” setting. By default, our Bulk Fixer ignores products with an
ARCHIVED status to save your credits for live products. Uncheck this box if you want to optimize draft items.
Q: The AI isn’t generating text for certain images.
Our Vision Engine requires publicly accessible image URLs. If your image server is slow or blocking our connection (timeout > 10s), the AI skips the image to prevent holding up the queue.
Q: Why didn’t it fix my “IMG_1234.jpg” tag?
If you selected “Fix Missing Only” mode, the system ignores images that already have text, even if that text is poor. Switch your mode to “Fix Actionable” to target both empty tags AND weak tags (like filenames).
Q: Bulk Fix stopped halfway through.
The system automatically pauses if your credit balance hits zero during a job. Top up your credits in the dashboard, and you can resume the scan immediately.
ComplianceGuard AI: Advanced Google Merchant Center Checklist
If your store passes the app audit but still fails Google’s review, check these manual factors:
1. Business Consistency (The #1 Killer)
- Legal Name Match: Does the business name in your Footer match the name on your bank account and your Google Merchant Center account settings exactly?
- Phone Verification: Is the phone number on your “Contact Us” page the exact same number verified in Google Merchant Center?
- Address Reality: Is your address a PO Box or Virtual Office? Google often flags these. You need a physical location where business operations occur.
2. The “Checkout Test”
- Guest Checkout: Can a customer buy a product without creating an account? (Google requires Guest Checkout).
- Secure Payment: Do you have a valid SSL certificate (https://)? (Shopify handles this, but ensure your custom domain is verified).
- Doorway Pages: Do you have multiple websites selling the same products? Google will ban all of them for “Abuse of the Network.”
3. Product Misrepresentation
- Availability: Do not list “Pre-order” items as “In Stock”. They must be clearly marked.
- Pricing: Does the price on the landing page match the price in the checkout cart to the penny? (Watch out for automatic currency converters).
- Images: Do not use watermarked images or images with promotional text (e.g., “Best Seller” written on the image).
4. Promotions & Discounts
- Fake Sales: If every product on your site is “50% Off”, Google views this as “Untrustworthy Promotions.” You must have sold the item at the full price recently to claim a discount.
- Pop-ups: Ensure email collection pop-ups can be easily closed on mobile devices.
5. Broken Links
- Check your social media icons in the footer. Do they actually go to your profile, or are they dead links/templates? Dead links are an automatic fail.
